JMAC employee Jamie Greenhow & his partner Abbie Griffiths are planning a sponsored sky dive to raise vital funds for the childhood cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

In June 2020, Abbie & Jamie’s son Noah was 2 when he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. Noah now receives chemotherapy weekly, CLIC Sargent have supported Abbie & Jamie throughout this difficult time. To give something back, they are taking part in a sky dive to raise money through their Just Giving page. Noah has a grade 3 glioma which is a type of tumour that can occur in the brain and spinal cord.

Their aim originally was to raise £930.00 for CLIC Sargent by tackling the jump; they have since met this target but any additional funds raised will go a long way to show their support to the charity.

CLIC Sargent fights tirelessly to prevent cancer from destroying young lives as well as working with children and families to help them get the vital financial support they need. They arrange grants and help them get benefits and other support they’re entitled to. Although Abbie & Jamie thankfully haven’t needed to use them, CLIC Sargent also have 10 Homes from Home close to hospitals in eight cities in the UK. The Homes from Home are a free place for families to stay when their child is going through cancer treatment. They’re close to principal treatment centres, helping families avoid the extra financial burdens of travel, accommodation and food costs.

Cancer shatters young cancer patients’ education, social lives and future prospects. Children need support not just to survive cancer but to finish treatment with their future in their grasp.

CLIC Sargent helps them get them & their families lives back on track, both during and after treatment. The team of professionals work with children and young people to limit the damage of cancer. They support young cancer patients emotionally – building their resilience so they can continue to learn, regain their confidence and be inspired to think beyond cancer.

Separately, Noah’s Mum Abbie, 18 & Dad Jamie, 20, want to do the skydive on 27th March, Abbie said CLIC Sargent had been ‘so helpful to us from the beginning of Noah’s diagnosis and we will forever be grateful’.

As well as the jump which will take place in Peterlee, the couple will be doing raffles, tombolas & other fundraising – all to support a cause which has been so helpful to them.

With this in mind, here at JMAC we are asking you to kindly support Abbie & Jamie’s skydive by please donating on their Just Giving Page.

Thank you
