Training

Health & Safety Training

All employees at JMAC Scaffolding are directly employed with 100% CISRS qualified operatives, no operative gets through an induction to work on a site within a scaffolding team without this training.

Operatives must complete our comprehensive induction which is designed to provide all the information required to work safely and effectively on site.

Ongoing Training

This ensures that all theoretical knowledge is supported by and assessed through practical application.

Key topics within the scaffolding industry are covered in detail such as SG4, SG6 & TG20, as well as a trades test on the basic knowledge required to build a compliant scaffolding with tube and fittings.

How we view training:

At JMAC we see training as a daily objective and our management team utilise onsite training daily, by using improvement cards and toolbox talks which reflect both positive and negative behaviour on site to encourage a positive behavioural culture change within the company.

At JMAC Scaffolding we offer an apprentice training programme, which provides real lifelong opportunities for young people looking for full time work in what is an exciting and ever evolving scaffolding industry. The progress is continually monitored by the CITB training centre and the JMAC management team. After two years, the individual will have completed their CISRS NVQ 2 and will be a trained scaffolder and able to apply for the Blue Basic Scaffolders Card.

JMAC can proudly say we have trained hundreds of scaffolders in the NorthEast – from Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas – offering long term career prospects and a trade that will see them in a job for as long as their working life permits.
