SHEQ Audits Scaffolding | JMAC Scaffolding

A SAFETY FIRST APPROACH

At JMAC, we take responsibility for our own safety and for the safety of those on the sites around us. We aim to be the safest company in our industry. We realise that in order to deliver our services safely and efficiently, an efficient and proactive SHEQ Management Process & Systems is fundamental and we continually assess every risk throughout all of our operations, to ensure appropriate control measures are put in place. To help achieve our health and safety goals and to fulfil our commitment to regular review, monitoring & improvement, we are also members of a number of relevant associations, and have committed to work with a number of accredited bodies who produce regular audits, including FASET, CHAS Elite, Constructionline Gold, ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards, QSCL, SSIP and members of NASC.

Committed through compliance with these standards and relevant health and safety statutory provisions and best practice, we ensure the protection of employees, agency staff and sub-contractors, contractors and others that may be affected by our activities. Staff training and communications are fundamental and we ensure that all employees undertake appropriate and both internal and external training courses and receive regular and topical toolbox talks.

JMAC ensure that our organisational Health and Safety practices, policies and procedures go beyond industry requirements to drive best practice in safe scaffolding and construction management. Our comprehensive monitoring and reviewing processes are supported by independent advice, training and auditing delivered by an external H&S consultancy, which drives continual improvement to achieve zero harm rates across our organisation.

As a company, JMAC invests heavily in a directly employed workforce, and employees at JMAC Scaffolding are directly employed with 100% CISRS qualified operatives. No operative gets through an induction to work on a site within a scaffolding team without this training.

JMAC understand that its most valuable assets are its employees, and all staff benefit from regular up to date training specific to their job roles. JMAC’s management team encourage a strong focus on behavioural safety coaching and cultural change.
